Applying for a Professional Master degree or Professional / Research M2 degree begins For Professional Masters and Professional / Research Master 2 degrees, applying starts the year before the start date of your course by completing the online application form at cand.fsciences.ul.edu.lb. Applications open in first of may, and the deadline is 11pm LB time on 31 May every year.

Application and interview: Academic results allow for the first jury to refuse or call candidates for an interview. The results are published for each candidate in his account and on the Faculty of Sciences websites and social media networks pages. Called candidates for an interview must confirm their participation via their account, by respecting the deadline period. Among invited and present candidates at the interview, the second jury decide admissions, rejections and inscriptions on complementary list. The final results are published for each candidate in his account and on the Faculty of Sciences websites and social media networks pages.

The application: The candidate makes up two choices among the choices that are offered. The choices depend on the degree obtained or prepared. Each selection board will examine the application without knowing the order of selection of candidates. However, the order of selection is significant when filing the application as it will determine the priority of affectation in case of admission in each of the two choices.

Example

A candidate filed an application and classified his choices:

  • Choice 1 : Computers and Telecommunications (ITLC)
  • Choice 2 : WEB Development (DWEB)

1st case: Both ITLC and DWEB committee decide to convene the candidate to the interview. The candidate will be invited to both interviews. If ITLC and DWEB committee decide admissions, the candidate will be offered only his first choice of classification (ie ITLC). If one of the committees decides admission (say DWEB), the candidate will be offered just one choice (ie DWEB).

2nd case: After the first jury, the ITLC committee decides to reject the application while the DWEB committee decides to convene the candidate to the interview. The candidate will be invited only to the DWEB interview. If DWEB committee decides admission, the candidate will be offered only his unique choice of classification (ie DWEB). If DWEB committee decides rejection, application will be reejcted.

3rd case:After the first jury, neither commission wanted to admit the applicant. Application will be rejected in both choices.

General Instrutions

Juries will examine only complete files. It is therefore imperative that yours contains in the required form all the information requested. Any application rejection due to the non-compliance with instructions will be final.

Accordingly , you should :
1/ Have a valid email address throughout the campaign that you should consult regularly.
When filing your application, it was suggested that you choose a password. Save it because you will need it to connect later to your account using the same password.
You must not under any circumstances call the administration for your forgotten password, but you must follow the electronic password recovery procedure.
2/ Carefully follow the deadlines dates mentioned in the calendar.
3/ Read the sections below :

  • Multiple applications:
    A candidate cannot for more than one application in which the candidate classify his 2 choices in order of preference.
  • Admission deferral:
    In case of admission, a student can not benefit from a deferral of admission.
  • In case of admission:
    The result is announced on this portal and on the Faculty of Sciences websites and social media networks pages. Admitted candidates must respect the deadlines to respond to the admission proposal, otherwise their application will be withdrawn.
  • Verification of information provided:
    Admission is subject to verification of the information provided and obtaining M1 (for applications to M2) / L3 (for applications to M1).
    Any recognized error, fraud or attempted fraud causes the delisting of your application.

Required Documents for professional and research master students registration

  1. 1 finanical stamp of 1000 L.L.
  2. 2 certified photographs
  3. Enrollment form: to be printed and filled out clearly by hand - without sticking the financial stamp
  4. An original copy of your civil status record dated within 6 months
  5. Copy of the residency card for international students. Click here for more infos
  6. Certified copy of the Lebanese Baccalaureate certificate or of its equivalent
  7. Certified copy of academic records (with grades) - BS, M1, Bachelor ...
  8. Certified copy of academic records (without grades)
  9. Certified copy of colloquium if the student holds a degree in general medicine or pharmacy
  10. Certified copy of academic equivalency certificates issued by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education of Lebanon for students holding degrees from outside the Lebanese University
  11. TO THIS LIST, ADD THE REQUIRED DOCUMENTS FOR THE NSSF
Note 1: Students with a university degree from outside Lebanon must
  1. Certify these degrees by the Lebanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs
  2. Certify these degrees by the embassy of the country where he pursued his studies
  3. Obtain an equivalence of these degrees from the Ministry of Education and Higher Education of Lebanon
