Research Master in Information Systems and Data Intelligence
The Master’s program of “Information and Decision Support Systems (IDSS)” is designed to provide an advanced and deep understanding of the core principles and topics of Information Systems (IS) intelligence; it concentrates on the issues and challenges of the new and latest information-technologies. The program focuses on IS engineering and reengineering/urbanization methodologies- Decision making and Business Intelligence (BI) interrelated fields - Service-oriented and cloud computing - Internet of Things IoT and mobile computing - Big-data intelligence - Business process intelligence - Ubiquitous, collaborative and cooperative computing; Smart-cities - Information security within IS - Information processing hot topics; Ontology, Semantic web and information retrieval techniques.
The M2R-IDSS degree aims to: instruct IT senior-managers and specialists by and for research in engineering and reengineering of information and decision (intelligent) systems - provide the foundation for integrating academic research teams to prepare a doctoral thesis (PhD) - provide students with a capacity to access job-positions like: "Study/Analysis and research" and or "research and development".
Methodologies for architectural engineering and reengineering of IS - distributed, cooperative and interoperable IS - Mobile IS and GIS - multidimensional data bases, data warehousing and Big-data - Services-oriented and cloud system engineering and Web technologies - Business Intelligence - Data Mining - Ontology, semantic Web, and XML - modeling and meta-data modeling – Multimedia IS - Security in IS - semantic indexing and information retrieval techniques.
Recruitment: Applications are reviewed by an admission committee. The best candidates are selected after interview

Further Studies / Career Opportunities
Earning a Master degree of “Information and Decision Support Systems (IDSS)” can be a great way to help students in both academic and industrial-engineering fields; students may pursue a PhD, integrate teaching and or research teams, may pursue careers in information system fields, and lead large companies (consulting-jobs, strategic planning, expertise in internet-technologies, decision-making, etc.). Students who earn this master will be eligible for engineering positions R&D, and heads of R&D projects. Obtaining a doctorate will allow students access to careers in teaching and research within prestigious universities and engineering schools or Institutes of Science and Technology.
